Hyundai, Kia Recalling SUVs

Hyundai and Kia will recall about 38,000 vehicles because their stability-control systems could be flawed. The vehicles involved in the recall are 30,558 Hyundai Tucson and 7619 Kia Sportage SUVs; the vehicles share much of their basic structures and powertrains. The recall affects 2005 models of the vehicles. The stability control systems on the affected vehicles could cause vehicles to slow through reduced engine power or application of a brake on one of their wheels.
