The Aion 2 Launch Scale Test officially began on September 17, 2026, giving players a free opportunity to experience the upcoming MMORPG before its global launch on October 5. No beta key or complicated application is required. Players can join through Steam or the official PURPLE launcher and explore the game while learning how systems such as Aion 2 Kinah, equipment, classes, and progression work before launch.

Aion 2 Scale Test Schedule

Unlike a traditional open beta, the Scale Test is limited to two separate six-hour sessions.

Test Window 1: September 17, 2026, from 16:00 to 22:00 CEST

Test Window 2: September 18, 2026, from 16:00 to 22:00 CEST

The first session has already ended, leaving the second six-hour window as the final opportunity to participate.

Keep in mind that all test characters and progression will be completely wiped after the event. Nothing earned during the Scale Test will carry over to the Founder's Early Access beginning September 30.

How to Join Through Steam

Steam provides one of the easiest ways to access the test:

Open Steam and search for Aion 2.
Find the official Aion 2 store page.
Locate the Playtest section and select Request Access.
Once access is granted, add the client to your library and begin downloading.

Because the test window is short, downloading the client in advance is strongly recommended.

How to Join Through PURPLE

PC players can also use NC's official PURPLE launcher.

Download and install PURPLE, then sign in with your NC account. Select Aion 2 from the game list and make sure the region is set to Global / Europe. You can then install the test client and prepare for the next available session.

Why Should You Join the Scale Test?

Although all progress will be deleted, the test provides valuable hands-on experience. The current build allows players to progress up to Level 37 while testing the game's eight classic starter classes, quest routes, combat systems, teleport mechanics, and server performance.

It is also a useful opportunity to understand early resource management. Learning how currencies, equipment costs, and progression systems work now can make the October launch much smoother.
